So sue me....Logan has a bad mommy! I can't find time to post on here and usually when I do find time somebody wakes up before I finish typing this.

Logan had a great birthday party! We had yummy food and he got lots and lots of Elmo presents! He of course wouldn't touch his cupcake, but liked playing with it! Jacob had no problem eating his share:)

And now an update on the boys.

Oh my Jacob is becoming such a little character. He keeps me laughing all day with the things he says. His new thing is telling us that he's not a kid anymore. Who knew he would grow up so fast! He is 100% potty trained and we don't even have to ask him if he has to go pee anymore, he just tells us whenever he needs to go. He loves outside and I can't wait for spring/summer so we can spend our days outside.

Logan is slowly growing up. He still loves to nurse, but is doing great at night! He has cut down his night nursings almost in half and during the day he is easily distracted by food or cups when he wants to nurse! Soon enough! He is trying to talk, but the only words I have been able to understand is "Bad, fishy, dada, mama, ball and up" When he walks into the room Jacob always says "Here comes that trouble boy" LOL

They have been playing together lately. Usually when they are both in Jakes room there is screaming and crying, but the other day it was completely quiet. We went in there and they had pulled the drawers under Jacobs bed out and they were both sitting in there playing. They sat there for almost 45 minutes!

Ahh brotherly love! We'll get there someday! Stay tuned:)

Pukes

Yup, it hit us. The dreaded pukes that has been going around for months and months has finally hit us...and boy did it hit us hard. I started early Saturday and the boys followed slowly after. It has been a nasty nasty weekend and I am happy to say we are slowly feeling better.

Poor Jacob doesn't understand. He gets so upset when he pukes. It's like he thinks it's bad thing and he's going to get in trouble. We put him in diapers just in case since with this bug comes the runs, but he never had an accident the first day so he went back in his undies and was able to tell us every time he had to go.

Logan threw up a couple times, but he was easy since his diet mostly consist of milk. Speaking of, my milk has taken a drastic turn. I can tell my supply has dropped so much. I couldn't eat or drink anything for almost 3 days. Logan has been getting so mad while nursing because he's once over supply isn't there anymore. I was really torn between just letting it dry up or to follow with my plans of child led weaning. I guess we'll see what happens.

Luckily daddy didn't catch the bug and was able to help us all weekend, thank goodness, because I really don't know how we would have made it through.

So that's why I haven't been around. I will try and upload some pictures this weekend!

Happy Birthday Logan!

It's so hard to believe that you are a year old today. I didn't think I would get so emotional like I did with Jacob, but I did. Seeing you today at the mall playing with the big kids and even sliding down the slide all by yourself got me very teary eyed. It's like you woke up this morning and said "Oh, I guess I'll be a big boy today".

I still remember every little detail about your birth. I remember waking up from sleeping with Jacob and having pretty strong contractions. We thought we would let daddy and Jacob sleep since my labor with Jake was 10 hours long. By the time we got the hospital and hooked up to the monitor my contractions were coming about every 2 minutes. Daddy walked in right as you were coming out.

You took to breastfeeding right away. I think you came out looking for it and you are still the exact same way today. Although nursing you all night gets to mommy sometimes, I love it just as much because it is our special time. I think I will be very sad when you decide to stop nursing.

Your first few months home were...well let's be honest...horrible! You were a very colicky baby. You nursed all day long and cried when you weren't nursing. I think it was around 7 months that you started to turn around. You were so mean to your daddy when you were a baby. No one could hold you or calm you down except mommy. But now, you are quite the little daddy's boy. You still your mommy more than anyone, but it melts my heart when you see your daddy come through the front door and raise your hands and say "dada". It melts his heart just as much. He has been waiting a long time for you to come around.


You love your bubby so much. You want to play with all his toys and be around him all the time. I think you started walking so early (10 months) because you wanted to keep up with him. I know he doesn't want you around so much now, but just wait...you guys will be the best of friends soon enough.

I love you very much baby, slow down a little bit for mommy and let me enjoy you this little.

2009

Hope everyone had a great New Years! We spent a quiet evening at home with Nana and Papa eating a lot of food and watching movies! Here's to a wonderful 2009!

Christmas 2008

What a great Christmas! Sorry it has taken me so long to post this, but as you can imagine, things have been pretty chaotic around here;)

The boys had such a great Christmas. I promptly woke them up at 7am because I was to excited and couldn't sleep anymore. Logan didn't care a bit about the presents. He was just crawling all over the boxes. Jacob would open one present and then want to play with it and didn't care to open anymore. *mental note* Number presents next year so they don't get the 'cool' ones first!

After we opened all the gifts we ate breakfast and headed to my parents for more presents! Logan slept through the whole thing and Jake again wanted us to open every gift and play with it before opening more. Silly boy!

The favorite gifts this year were as follows:

Jacob's was his Little People Learning Town and his new Kitchen/BBQ set from Santa aka Nana.

Logan's is his busy ball popper from Jacob and his beloved ball bit from Santa aka Mommy.

I can't wait to see them both next year!!

Cookies for Santa!

We made cookies for Santa last night! Jacob loved playing in the flour and thought it was sugar so grabbed a handful and shoved it in is mouth. You should have seen his face when he realized it wasn't:) Our cookie cutters are still packed away somewhere so I went to WalMart last night and they were all sold out except for this little brass looking ones that were way to expensive, but Santa needs cookies!

Jacob did a great job cutting them out since we use cookie cutters with playdoh. I frosted and he decorated! Papa and Nana came over for dinner and helped Jacob decorate. Of course I think Jake ate more than he decorated, but Santa is in for a sweet treat on Christmas Eve!

Speaking of, I am no where near done wrapping yet. I can't believe I'm so far behind this year!!! I can't wait to see their little faces on Christmas morning! So worth it!

Snow day!

We got a bunch of snow last night so after breakfast I asked Jacob if he wanted to go play on the back deck and he started jumping and running around! So we got all bundled up and went out back. I swear, I have never seen a child more in love with snow! He was making snow angels, eating it and just throwing it all up in the air. Logan had a love/hate relationship with the snow. He sat there and played with it until a tiny speck got on his face. We played for a little while and came inside where I gave Jacob his first cup of hot chocolate! He LOVED it!

I'm also happy to say that we have been accident free today and he has gone pee on his potty all day!

We have a busy weekend coming up! We have a birthday party and then 2 different Christmas parties! Can't wait to see the boys open presents this week!! Stay tuned!!
